That thought lead to:  Do teachers have a clear instructional objective goal in mind and is it their intentional plan to incorporate IL skills within the framework of the content material or are they merely brushing along the fringes of these skills because they don't really know how to 'teach' the skills themselves, but know that they are obligated to cover them because they are state required?  This might be a window of opportunity for a discussion about collaboration, which is our goal.  You will have to tread lightly when making the offer to assist.  How do you have that conversation in a tactful manner?    Christine Gilbert
